Walcot hall is situated on rising ground above the village of Lydbury North. Surrounded by hills, it overlooks a serpentine lake and to the rear is the arboretum, reputedly one of the finest in Great Britain.
Although Walcot remains a private residence it does have apartments available for short term holiday letting. These provide a unique opportunity to relax in spectacular surroundings and experience a holiday which is quintessentially English and not easily forgotten.
Each apartment has it's own individual character and are filled with an array of antiques, cosy armchairs, rich contrasting fabrics and old prints.
Apartments will sleep from 2 to 22 people and cost varys depending on the season and size of the apartment. There is also a Ballroom in the grounds which can be hired if needed for celebrations.The village of Lydbury north has a pub, post office and village shop. The nearest town is Bishop's Castle 3 miles away and the train station is in Craven Arms 9 miles away. The area is ideal for walking , fishing and cycling holidays. Bikes are available on site as are boats to use on the lakes. There is also a stables opening in May.
